Our Horses
We have a good selection of beautiful horses and ponies, chosen specifically for their experience, safety and temperament. We hire some of our horses from North Cheshire Equestrian Centre, and have two of our own: Tyson and Bobby.
Tyson

Black Gypsy Cob Gelding
Tyson came to Pegasus on a long term loan basis in 2022. Tyson is one of our largest, weight-bearing horse, although will happily look after the little ones too. Despite his age he shows no signs of slowing down and is a nice, responsive horse to ride.
Bobby
Born: 2019
Height: 15.2hh
Black Irish Cob
Bobby is our largest weight-bearing horse. He's an old head on young shoulders with beautiful manners. This gentle giant has a sweet nature and caring and steady with his riders.
Sonic
Born: 2015
Height: 14.2hh
Piebald Gelding
Sonic came to live with us in summer 2025 and after a settling in period he joined sessions early in 2026. Previously Sonic pulled canal boats for tourists on the Llangollen Canal. He has settled in well and is a favourite amongst our riders as a lovely lead rein pony.
Victoria
Born: 2021
Height: 12.2hh
Skewbald Mare
Victoria came to us in summer 2025 as a rescue from the RSPCA. She has a lovely calm temperament albeit a little cheeky! She has recently joined our sessions and is set to become a firm favourite.
Star
Born: 2011
Height: 12.2hh
Star is a cheeky little pony but steady and tolerant. He's not phased by anything always remaining calm and patient
Bo Peep
Born: 2012
Height: 11.3hh
Bo peep is our sweet girl, she goes nicely forward and listens to her rider.
She is gentle and patient and will happily stand and wait for her riders.
